The supply and demand situation of the coal market will gradually improve
Oct. 18, 2021
The China Coal Transportation and Marketing Association predicts that with the accelerated release of coal production capacity in the main producing areas, coal supply is expected to maintain growth in the later period, coal demand growth will decline, the coal market supply and demand situation will gradually improve, and market coal prices will fluctuate at high levels. It is reported that from October 1st to October 13th, the association focused on monitoring coal enterprises' daily average coal output of 6.93 million tons, an average daily increase of 4.5% over September. The coal production and sales momentum of key enterprises is good, and the effect of increasing coal production and supply is gradually showing.
The relevant person in charge of the National Mining Safety Supervision Bureau recently disclosed that 976 coal mines have been audited nationwide. According to the principle of special affairs, appropriate liberalization, and strict adherence to the bottom line, the safety conditions are audited on a mine-by-mine basis.
Among them, there are 153 coal mines that meet the conditions for safe supply and increase the production capacity by approximately 220 million tons per year. It is expected that coal production can be increased by 55 million tons in the fourth quarter, with an average daily increase of 600,000 tons, which has a positive effect on alleviating tight supply and demand and stabilizing coal prices.
At the same time, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and other relevant regions have also promoted coal mines with the potential to increase production to release advanced production capacity as soon as possible to actively ensure energy supply under the premise of ensuring safe production.
In this winter and next spring, Shanxi and Shaanxi will guarantee coal supply in 14 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, respectively, and Inner Mongolia will undertake the task of guaranteeing coal supply in 18 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. At present, the relevant guarantee supply indicators in various regions have been lowered.
Distributed to various coal mines, and are actively ensuring supply.
