Then do you know which kind of steel pipes can be used for liquid transportation?

Let’s start from ERW steel pipe. ERW Steel pipe can be used for low pressure liquid transportation. ERW steel pipe is widely used for oil and gas transmission, tubing and casing, sewage treatment, etc, but as erw steel pipe has a weld seam, so is not so suitable for high pressure liquid transportation.

SSAW steel pipe can also be used for liquid transportation. SSAW steel pipe is widely used for penstock pipe, and in 2017, Xinyue Steel Group has a SSAW penstock project in Uganda. But also per its manufacturing process, it also not suitable for high of cold temperature and high pressure working condition.

LSAW steel pipe is widely used for pipeline project. LSAW steel pipe is widely applied in oil, natural gas, steel structural, power plant, ship manufacturering, foundation and piling porjects, etc. Linepipe is widely used for liquid transportation.

SMLS steel pipe don’t have any weld seam, so per its manufacturing process, seamless steel pipe can be used in low and high temperature and pressure working condition.

So, ERW, SSAW, LSAW, SMLS steel pipes can all be used for liquid transportation.
