1. Thermal coal prices

On December 15, the average pit-head settlement price of thermal coal in the main producing areas of the region was 246.35 yuan/ton, which was an increase of 1.24% compared with December 5, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the ring comparison). Among them, the average pit settlement price of lignite in the eastern region was 227.42 yuan/ton, a slight decrease of 0.07% from the previous month, and the average pit settlement price of Ordos thermal coal was 316.67 yuan/ton, an increase of 4.40% from the previous month. Compared with December 15, 2019 (hereinafter referred to as year-on-year), the average pit settlement price of thermal coal in the whole region increased by 15.83%, of which the average pit price of lignite in the eastern region increased by 17.24%, and the average pit price of thermal coal in Ordos increased by 31.03%.

2. Electricity coal purchase price situation

On December 15, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the entire district was 230.51 yuan/ton, a slight increase of 0.29% from the previous month, and the average value after conversion to standard coal (7,000 kcal) was 454.92 yuan/ton, a slight increase of 0.27% from the previous month. Among them, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the eastern region was 218.97 yuan/ton, which was 513.36 yuan/ton after conversion into standard coal, which was the same month-on-month. The average purchase price of thermal coal in the western region was 239.73 yuan/ton, a slight increase of 0.50% from the previous month, and the average value after conversion into standard coal was 408.16 yuan/ton, a slight increase of 0.54% from the previous month. Compared with the same period of last year, the average purchase price of thermal coal in the whole district increased by 7.48%. Among them, the purchase price of thermal coal in the eastern region increased by 4.70%, and the purchase price of thermal coal in the western region increased by 9.62%.
