The National Energy Administration pointed out that the supply of coal, electricity, oil and gas is sufficient and the energy situation is generally stable.

The National Energy Administration pointed out that since late March, the decline in energy consumption has been significantly narrowed, and the supply of coal, electricity, oil and gas has been adequately and effectively guaranteed, providing strong support for the prevention and control of the epidemic and the acceleration of the recovery of economic and social order. Generally speaking, energy development mainly presents the following three characteristics:

First, the growth rate of energy consumption has gradually picked up. The daily consumption of coal, electricity, oil and gas gradually returned to the same period last year. In terms of electricity consumption, since March, the electricity consumption of the whole society has gradually picked up. On May 11, the national daily power consumption was 19.2 billion kwh, an increase of 4.8% year on year, and the average daily power consumption in May was 5.9% year on year. In terms of natural gas consumption, in late March, the average daily consumption of natural gas in China was about 770 million cubic meters, an increase of 4.5% year on year. Driven by the implementation of the off-season gas price policy in advance, industrial fuel and power generation gas are expected to grow slightly. In terms of oil product consumption, the average daily consumption in March was about 760000 tons, about 80% of the same period last year. Driven by the spring cultivation, construction and the increase of residents' travel, the consumption of refined oil has picked up. In terms of coal consumption, the average daily consumption in March was about 9.8 million tons, about 95% of the same period last year. Driven by major investment projects such as the strength and weakness of the board, coal consumption has risen steadily.

Second, there is sufficient energy supply. We will increase dispatch and coordination, and pay close attention to the resumption of production of energy enterprises. By the end of March, energy production enterprises had basically returned to work. Coal production has picked up steadily. In the middle of March, the daily output of coal has exceeded 10 million tons, which has returned to the same period last year, an increase of about 6 million tons compared with the Spring Festival. The coal price of power plants in the national unified dispatching power plant has been maintained for more than 25 days, the inventory of power supply, heating enterprises and ports is at a reasonable level, and the coal price is in a green and reasonable range. Oil and gas production continued to grow. In the first quarter, crude oil output was 48.57 million tons, up 2.4% year on year; natural gas output was 48.3 billion cubic meters, up 9.1% year on year. The power supply is safe and stable. Power generation and grid enterprises actively fulfill their social responsibilities and take effective measures to ensure the safe and stable supply of power during the epidemic prevention and control period.

Third, the capacity of energy security has been continuously enhanced. Firmly establish the bottom line thinking, focus on ensuring oil and gas safety, focus on the construction of production, supply, storage and marketing system, and strive to improve the ability of energy security. We will continue to increase efforts in oil and gas exploration and development. Major oil and gas enterprises are subject to the overall situation of national energy security. Under the situation of downward oil price, they keep the efforts of oil and gas exploration and development unchanged and continue the good momentum of increasing storage and production. Continue to increase the strength of the short board. Accelerate the construction of natural gas pipeline network and promote the formation of "one network in China". We will strengthen the capacity of energy system reserve regulation, accelerate the construction of oil reserve facilities, and actively promote the construction of pumped storage power stations and the transformation of coal power flexibility. Improve grid security. We will accelerate the resumption of construction of major projects. Efforts should be made to expand effective investment and promote economic development.
