Welding classification: some welding forms which we usually encounter.

Gas shielded welding, such as co2 gas shielded welding and argon gas shielded welding. In this welding method, when the welding wire melts, the metal bath is protected by co2 or argon to complete the welding.

Arc welding, arc welding uses a welding rod with a coating on the surface. When the welding rod melts, the outer coating burns to protect the metal bath and complete the welding.

Submerged arc welding, which requires flux and welding wire. The welding wire extends into the welding flux to start arc welding, and the welding flux burns to protect the metal bath and complete welding.

Gas shielded welding needs to pay attention to the purity of gas, and strict requirements are imposed on the pure of gas during welding. Arc welding and submerged arc welding have strict requirements on the dryness of electrode coating and flux.

No matter which welding method is adopted, attention should be paid to the welding environment first. For example, in the welding area, the arc welding wind speed cannot exceed 8m/s and the argon arc welding wind speed cannot exceed 2m/s; Relative humidity cannot be greater than 90%; The ambient temperature can be less than zero degrees. Different WPS have different requirements for welding environment. We need to read WPS carefully.
