Ukraine's steel export revenue in the first half of this year increased by 35% year-on-year

The Ukrainian Independent News Network quoted the National Finance and Taxation Administration as saying on July 9 that the steel export revenue of Ukrainian steel companies in the first six months of this year was 5.397 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 35%. The export of metal products was 540 million US dollars, an increase of 34%, and the total export value in the country was 2.32%. In June, Ukrainian steel exports were 959 million U.S. dollars and metal products were exported 95.4 million U.S. dollars.
In the first half of this year, steel imports (in currency terms) were US$629 million, up 25.5% year-on-year, and imports of metal products were US$410 million, up 13% year-on-year.
In 2017, Ukrainian steel export revenue was 8.7 billion US dollars, up 19.6%; metal products export foreign exchange income was 896.67 million, an increase of 30%.
