Ukraine ranked 13th in the world steel producers list in February

The Ukrainian Independent News Agency quoted the World Steel Association on March 27th. In February 2019, Ukrainian steel production increased by 5% year-on-year to 1.689 million tons, ranking 13th in the world steel producers list.
According to the statistics of February, the first place is still China, with a total output of 71 million tons, an increase of 9.2%.
This was followed by India (8.74 million tons, up 2.3% year-on-year), Japan (7.74 million tons, down 6.6% year-on-year), the United States (6.9 million tons, up 1.1% year-on-year), and Russia (5.2 million tons, down 4.4% year-on-year). Germany (3.1 million tons, down 9.4%), Brazil (2.7 million tons, down 1.7%), Turkey (2.6 million tons, down 12.5%), Italy (2.1 million tons, down 3.6%), Iran ( 2 million tons, an increase of 21.7% over the same period, Taiwan (1.8 million tons, an increase of 22.5%).
In February 2018, the total production of 64 countries that entered the World Steel Association rankings increased by 4.1% year-on-year to reach 137.3 million tons.
In January-February 2019, Ukrainian steel production fell by 0.4% year-on-year to 3.539 million tons, ranking 13th in the steel production list.
In 2018, Ukrainian steel production fell by 1.1% year-on-year to 21.1 million tons, falling from the 12th in the world steel production list to the 13th.
In 2013, Ukraine ranked 7th in the world steel production list with a total output of 30.4 million tons. In 2014, total production fell to 27.2 million tons, ranking down to 10th.
