Steel traders in the field of steel circulation have found business opportunities from these topics. On March 6, Liang Taigeng, general manager of Shanghai Hualei Enterprise Development Co., Ltd., Ren Qingping, chairman of Shanghai Wubo Steel Structure Materials Co., Ltd., and Li Zhongshuang, general manager of Shanghai Ruikun Metal Materials Co., Ltd., were accepting reporters from China Metallurgical News. During the interview, they shared their feelings about this year's government work report. They all said that this year's report contained more positive information about the steel market and provided them with new business ideas.

The "development of green buildings" mentioned in the report inspires steel traders. Green building refers to a new type of building that provides healthy, applicable and efficient use of space throughout its life cycle, and maximizes the realization of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. Green buildings generally adopt a steel structure prefabricated construction mode, and prefabricated house components are transported to the site for assembly. The steel used in steel structure buildings is different from ordinary concrete buildings, mainly steel plates, section steels, steel pipes, etc., rather than traditional construction steel such as rebar and wire rods.

He Wenbo, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Chairman of the Iron and Steel Association, also pointed out that steel structure buildings are typical green buildings and an important growth point for future consumption of steel. Steel traders predict that this year my country will vigorously develop steel structure buildings and promote prefabricated concrete buildings. Considering that the proportion of prefabricated green buildings in my country will continue to increase, they plan to focus their operations on steel for steel structures this year, and provide steel structure manufacturers with various types of plates, section steels, and steel pipes.

In addition, the "full implementation of the rural revitalization strategy" mentioned in the report also contains huge market demand. At present, the demand for steel for agricultural machinery in my country is increasing, and there are many types of steel involved. Some steel traders aim at this market demand, shift their business focus to the countryside, and provide high-quality steel for agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturing enterprises. In response to the idea of “building a manufacturing power”, some steel traders are preparing to adjust their market positioning and shift their business focus from ordinary steel to high-quality special steel. Some steel traders plan to establish cooperative relations with equipment manufacturing companies to expand their own business scale.
