The importance of standardization of Chinese steel mills
May. 28, 2018
Although China has been the fastest-growing country in the field of international standardization in recent years, it is still in a weak position in the international standard competition landscape. China's innovative technical standards need to be strengthened. This is especially urgent when China's steel production has led the world for more than 20 years.
To change this status, developing countries must actively participate in the work of standardization and share international standardization practices and achievements with countries and regions in the world. Domestic large-scale and high-quality enterprises, especially large-scale steel companies, should fully understand that mastering leading technologies is the basis for participating in standardization activities; only by continuous innovation and more results can we play a greater role in the formulation of participation standards. Regardless of whether it is abroad or domestic, large enterprises decide the advanced nature of the standard and represent an industry’s ability for technological innovation. Large companies participate in standardization with leading technologies. Conversely, participation in the formulation of standards can also boost industry technological innovation and promote sustainable development of the industry.
