What is AEO?
The AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) is refers to an customs clearance convenience institutional arrangement who have established and mutually recognized the AEO system. At present, 64 members of the World Customs Organization have implemented the AEO system, and 31 states in it have been signed among member countries. China is the last country in the economic power to implement the AEO system.
Which country have been established AEO?
China has signed AEO with 35 countries(regions), including 28 EU member states, Switzerland, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong, China.

Classify of AEO
Grade AA → Advanced Certification Enterprise
Grade A → General Certification Enterprises
Grade B → General credit enterprises
Grade C → Untrustworthy enterprises
Grade D → Untrustworthy enterprises
According to statistics, when China's AEO enterprises exported goods to the above-mentioned countries(regions), the inspection rate was reduced by 60 % to 80 %, and the customs clearance time and customs clearance cost were reduced by more than 50 %. At present, the Chinese Customs Department is conducting AEO mutual recognition consultations with Russia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Turkey, Mongolia and other important Belt and Road countries, as well as the United States, Japan and other important trade countries. We will strive to complete mutual recognition with AEO countries along the Belt and Road by 2020.
