A trade commission in Canada said on Tuesday that dumping of Canadian cold-rolled coils and strips in some countries has hurt its domestic counterparts. These countries include China, South Korea and Vietnam.

In a statement, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal mentioned that the relevant authorities will decide on specific punitive measures by August 20. The Canadian government prohibits exporters from other countries from using Canada to dump steel into the US market. At the same time, Canada has been lobbying the US government to lift tariffs on steel imports from Canada.
