Steel production capacity data and export data in China

According to statistics, the key large and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises in 2017 achieved a total sales income of 3.69 trillion yuan, an increase of 34.1% year-on-year, and a profit of 177.3 billion yuan, an increase of 617% year-on-year. Chinese steel production capacity has also made important contributions to the global steel market recovery.
In 2017, the apparent consumption of crude steel in mainland China was 767 million tons, an increase of 79.14 million tons over the same period of last year, accounting for 45.8% of the global crude steel consumption.
At the end of 2017, China's steel price index was 121.8 points, up 22.4% year-on-year; the international steel price index was 174.4 points, up 7.7% year-on-year.
The increase in steel prices in China is greater than the increase in international steel prices.
In 2017, China exported 75.43 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 30.5%; the average export price of steel was 4,905 yuan per ton, an increase of 48.4% year-on-year, far greater than the increase in international steel prices.
