Bright pipe (cold forming)

Only processing of the inner hole and have high requirement to the material surface, considering the cost, we suggest the customer to use the bright pipe, because the it has good brittleness, easy to processing, mainly for low carbon steel. However, compared with the annealing pipe, the bright pipe has higher hardness and brittleness, easy to damage the lathe tool.

The annealing pipe

Annealing is mainly to remove the residual stress on the surface of seamless steel pipe, reducing the mechanical properties and improving the ductility. However, after annealing, the brittleness of seamless steel pipe has been greatly reduced, which is not conducive to turning, easy to stick the knife, turning quality is poor, the finish degree is contrary to the requirements of some end users, especially some low carbon steel. However, as the carbon content of materials such as 45 #, 35 # steel increases, the material itself also has high mechanical properties, brittleness increases, if then choosing bright pipe turning, will lead to processing stopping, so, we will suggest annealing treatment

Normalize

But in some practical cases, there are also mild steels that require heat treatment. Compared with annealing, normalizing can improve the mechanical performance, which is neither as high as the hardness of the bright tube, nor as poor as the brittleness of the annealed tube. Normalizing performance is just suitable to meet the actual needs of customers. For example, low carbon pipes with thick wall thickness, as well as finished products need to be grooved, threading, modeling and other processes
