The price trend of bauxite in Henan is uncertain

In mid-August, 75 shaft kiln bauxite blocks were quoted at RMB 1,150/ton, 80 shaft kiln blocks were quoted at 1,400 yuan/ton to 1,500 yuan/ton, and 85 shaft kiln bauxite blocks were quoted at RMB 1,850/ton. The recent market demand has continued to weaken. The bauxite production enterprises in Henan are currently operating at a relatively low load. Although the five production enterprises contacted have already started operations, none of them have reached full capacity. As the heating season in the northern region started again in November, the production company said it was more unpredictable about the external environment in the later period.

To sum up, although the price of Henan bauxite is stable, there is uncertainty in its later trend.

Ore ore affects the sustained supply of bauxite in Jiexiu

In August, the price of mainstream bauxite in the Jiexiu market continued to stabilize temporarily. At present, the start-up situation of production enterprises is similar to last month, and the continuous supply capacity is relatively poor.

There are no bauxite resources in Jiexiu. The main reason for the formation of bauxite production bases in Jiexiu is the advantages of local coking gas fuel resources. Local companies currently have a variety of raw ore procurement channels, and there are few companies that can stably supply bauxite. In this year's market environment, market demand is already low, which is a big test for local bauxite enterprises in Jiexiu. The later development trend of local bauxite will be mainly based on iron sheet shaft kiln bauxite, and other kiln bauxite as supplementary development market. The development of local bauxite industry has problems of ore generation and invoicing. 

Shandong white corundum market shock adjustment

Last month, the market price of white corundum in Shandong increased along with the increase in alumina prices, and the quotation was raised by 100 yuan/ton. However, from the perspective of market transactions, there were not many substantial transactions at the price after the increase. After alumina prices fell at the end of the month, some companies that raised prices began to adjust their prices. The white corundum enterprises that did not adjust their prices during the alumina price increase will maintain their original prices after the alumina price drops.

At this stage, the market price of white corundum segment sand in Shandong is maintained at 4,100 yuan/ton to 4,300 yuan/ton (ex-factory tax included), and there are many favorable market transactions.

The alumina deep processing project in Zouping Industrial Park, which is widely concerned by the industry, some enterprises have gone through the procedures for establishing a new company. It is expected that 4 to 8 smelting furnaces will be put into production by the end of the year. The abundant alumina resources and power resources in Zouping area provide convenient conditions for the development of the white fused alumina industry in the park, but it will also increase the degree of competition in the white fused alumina market in Shandong, and the structure of Shandong white fused alumina will also change accordingly.

In terms of raw materials, industrial alumina has risen this month and then declined, and it is currently in a stable state. Some white corundum companies that purchased raw materials during the alumina price increase stated that the price of white corundum did not rise after buying at high prices. At this time, the cost pressure was huge, coupled with the stagnant shipments, the market outlook was worrying.

On the whole, the Shandong white corundum market has not changed much as a whole, and will be mainly adjusted slightly in the later period.
