Global crude steel production increased by 2.9% year-on-year in September

On October 23, the World Steel Association (WSA) released September global crude steel production data. In September, the crude steel output of 64 countries and regions included in the World Steel Association's statistics was 156.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%.

In September, Asian crude steel production was 118 million tons, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year; EU crude steel production was 11.11 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.0%; North America crude steel production was 7.93 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.4%; South America crude steel production The output was 3.21 million tons, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year; the crude steel output in the Middle East was 3.11 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.0%; the crude steel output of the CIS was 8.18 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.3%.

From the perspective of key countries and regions, in September, China's crude steel output was 92.56 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%. India's crude steel output was 8.52 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%. Japan's crude steel output was 6.49 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 19.3%. South Korea's crude steel output was 5.83 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%. In the European Union, in September, German crude steel production was 3.02 million tons, down 9.7% year-on-year; Italian crude steel production was 1.79 million tons, down 18.7% year-on-year; French crude steel production was 960,000 tons, down 20.1% year-on-year; Spain crude steel production Steel output was 940,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.7%. US crude steel production was 5.71 million tons, a decrease of 18.5% year-on-year. Ukrainian crude steel production was 1.65 million tons, a decrease of 5.4% year-on-year. Brazil's crude steel output was 2.57 million tons, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year. Turkey's crude steel output was 3.23 million tons, an increase of 18.0% year-on-year.
