Global crude steel output increased by 1.7% year-on-year in July

On August 27th, the World Steel Association (WSA) released global crude steel production data for July. In July, 64 countries and regions in the world were included in the World Steel Association statistics, crude steel production was 157 million tons, an increase of 1.7%.
Among them, Asia's crude steel output was 113 million tons, up 3.9% year-on-year; EU's crude steel output was 13.64 million tons, down 0.2% year-on-year; North America's crude steel output was 10.12 million tons, down 1.5% year-on-year; South America Crude steel production was 3.22 million tons, down 18.1% year-on-year; crude steel production in the Middle East was 3.1 million tons, up 3.8% year-on-year; CIS crude steel output was 8.66 million tons, down 1.5% year-on-year.
In terms of key countries and regions, in July, China's crude steel output was 85.22 million tons, an increase of 3.8%. India's crude steel output was 9.22 million tons, an increase of 1.7%. Japan's crude steel output was 8.39 million tons, down 0.4% year-on-year. South Korea's crude steel output was 6.04 million tons, down 2.1% year-on-year. German crude steel production was 3.36 million tons, down 1.0% year-on-year. Italian crude steel production was 2.13 million tons, down 1.2% year-on-year. French crude steel production was 1.33 million tons, down 0.6% year-on-year. Spain's crude steel output was 1.1 million tons, up 15.7% year-on-year. US crude steel production was 7.51 million tons, an increase of 1.8% year-on-year. Brazil's crude steel output was 2.45 million tons, down 20.6% year-on-year. Turkey's crude steel output was 2.93 million tons, down 10.6% year-on-year. Ukrainian crude steel production was 1.78 million tons, down 1.7% year-on-year.
