Xinyue Supported Georgia Government Natural Gas Project
Nov. 19, 2019
In July 2019, Georgian customers visited our company and would like to purchase spiral steel pipes with 3PE coating. These steel pipes are used for the first phase of Georgia Natural Gas Project. Georgia's natural gas project is a government-owned project to deliver natural gas to eastern Georgia. Customers are very concerned about product quality and delivery time.
Due to the Georgian government is particularly strict with the construction period and the sea transportation from Tianjin to Georgia takes nearly 50 days, the production and delivery period of steel pipes has become the key for us to get this order. After discussing with the customers, we decided to deliver the steel pipes in batches (segment delivery). The 5,000-meter steel pipes will be delivered quickly in the early stage to start the construction of the project. The remaining 34,000-meter steel pipes will be delivered completely within one month. The time limitation for this order requested by the customer brings us a severe Challenge. From steel mills ordering raw materials urgently and searching for existing raw materials in the market to working overtime to produce steel pipes, Xinyue Steel Group has overcome many difficulties, fulfilled our promise to customers and finally delivered goods on schedule smoothly.
Georgian customers have strict quality requirements. At the beginning of the period, when the 5000-meter of the raw materials came into our factory, our customers began to strictly control it and came to our factory to check the arrival of the raw materials and the quality of the raw materials. For the first batch of produced steel pipes, the customer carried out on-site production inspection, measured whether if the outer diameter and size of the steel pipes conform to the standards or not, observed whether if the weld seam of the steel pipes is defective by RT, and supervise the completion of the hydraulic test of the first few steel pipes. In our laboratory, we showed our customers various laboratory tests of newly produced steel pipes. Customers are very satisfied with the quality of our steel pipes.
Regarding this project in Georgia, due to the large demand for steel pipes, high quality requirements and long project time, we have also drawn up detailed production plans for our customers and kept close communication with them to update the status in real time so that they can have a full understanding of our production progress and delivery progress. Our customers have received all the steel pipes for the first phase of the Georgia project. Both the customers and the Georgian government have given us high evaluation of our work. At present, our company has entered the list of Georgian government procurement suppliers, laying a solid foundation for our long-term cooperation in the future.
