EU's second anti-dumping sunset review of China's ferrosilicon

On April 2, 2019, the European Commission issued a notice stating that the application submitted by the European Union Euroalliages on behalf of the producers of ferrosilicon production accounting for 90% of the total output of similar products in the EU on January 3, 2019, is native to China and Russia. Ferro-silicon conducts a second anti-dumping sunset review investigation: If the current anti-dumping measures are abolished, whether the import of the products involved in the EU and the damage to the EU industry will continue or reoccur. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) codes for the products involved are 72022100, 72202910 and 72022990. The dumping investigation period of this case is from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2015 to the end of the dumping investigation period.
On November 30, 2006, the European Union launched an anti-dumping investigation on ferrosilicon originating in China, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Northern Macedonia and Russia. On February 28, 2008, the EU made a positive final decision on the case. On December 30, 2009, the EU terminated anti-dumping measures against products involved in North Macedonia. On February 28, 2013, the EU initiated a first anti-dumping sunset review of ferrosilicon originating in China and Russia. On April 10, 2014, the European Union made an anti-dumping sunset review of the ferrosilicon originating in China and Russia.
