External Challenges and Internal Challenges Faced by High-quality Development of the Iron and Steel Industry in China

Although steel industry in China have improving a lot in past years, but there are still some challenges we have to face. There are external challenges and internal challenges.
External challenges include terrorism, local wars, immigration crisis, alternation of power, trade frictions, etc., as well as fiscal austerity measures and other economic factors that cause rising geopolitical risks.
Internal challenges include: outstanding problems with unbalanced development have not yet been resolved, development quality and benefits are still low, innovation capacity is not strong enough, the real economy needs to be improved, ecological and environmental protection have a long way to go, poverty alleviation and difficult tasks, urban and rural development and income.
The disparity in distribution remains large, and many difficulties are faced in employment, education, health care, housing, and retirement; the level of social civilization still needs to be improved, the national governance system and governance capacity needs to be strengthened, the struggle in the ideological field remains complex, and national security is facing new challenges. As for the situation, there are still many weak links in party building.
