Xinyue Steel Group received another new order from our regular OZ client at the end of October 2020. It’s an order for stock supplement, with size OD DN15-450, WT SCH40-SCH160, length in 6meters, 38sizes, about 200tons in total and still FOB term as usual.

Based on our regular cooperation & trust, it only took 3 working days for both sides confirmed the price & contract, deposit settlement, booking raw material and arranging production schedule. And all items finished production & pre-shipment inspection and ready for ex-mill in the mid of November.

Due to the epidemic, ports around the world have experienced varying degrees of congestion since the beginning of 2020, and it is particularly difficult to book a shipment successfully. Tianjin Xinyue, as a leading export enterprise in Tianjin area and even in China, has a completely understanding of the freight situation of Tianjin port. We informed the client that they can arrange the shipment once production starts to avoid delay of delivery, it is about 20 days ahead more than the normal process.

However, since the containers departure from China were stranded in ports all over the world, there was an extreme shortage of containers. It took nearly a month for the customers to seize the container positions.

In order to avoid further delay in the delivery, Tianjin Steel suggested customer trying to ship this order by break bulk vessel to ensure all pipes are able to be exported successfully. After assessment and confirmation, the customer immediately decided to ship the pipes by break bulk vessel and spent a week to confirm the vessel space with the shipping company. At the end of December, all pipes were successfully shipped to the destination.
