Xinyue Steel Group received a new order of SSAW API 5L PSL1 GR.B ID1200 X 16MM X 11.8M on Nov, 2019. However, the end user offered some extra technical requirements which made the entire progress very slow. After struggled with client, end user, TPI and production department for about 1 month, there’s finally an agreement on every details at the end of December.

Another trouble is that all raw material are too busy to take new schedule for this small job since it’s peak season during December, they’re totally fulled on production lines. The purchase dept finally ordered to the mill with higher cost but fastest delivery time, hope we can deliver all pipes as earlier as we can after knowing it’s urgent needed by the project. However, all raw material arrived at factory at the end of January 2020 when it’s Spring Festival holidays, which means this order should be produced after spring festival. Then all country entered an emergency period of epidemic prevention for the corona virus, production date has to be extended again and again, factory is in shortage of workers who are still in quarantine when factory are allowed to back to production, etc. Various uncontrollable factors make it more difficult for us to process this order.

Thanks to the understanding & trust from customer during this time, we kept contact on every update daily and spare no efforts to get approval from authorities on production ASAP. After the cooperation of all parties, the first batch of goods was successfully delivered in 7 days, which has been delivered on March 2nd and the second batch arrived on March 16th and loading into container successfully too, waiting for departure.

Although this order was completed in a tough situation and time-pressured operational environment, we still ensure all the raw materials have passed the mechanical properties and chemical composition tests of mill’s laboratory and SGS Shanghai laboratory at the same time. All pipes have passed 100% hydro test, X-ray test and Ultrasonic test and size inspection by SGS. All data and results show that our products are 100% compliant to API 5L.
