On 6th June, 2018, Australia Government, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science issued the Anti-Dumping Notice No.2018/74 target on Certain Hollow Structural Sections. This Anti-Dumping Notice is aiming at export from People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan, finding in relation to a review of anti-dumping measures.

The Commissioner of the Anti-Dumping Commission has completed a review, which commenced on 14 July 2017, of the anti-dumping measures applying to certain hollow structural sections(the goods) exported to Australia from the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan. The anti-dumping measures are in the form of a countervailing duty notice in respect of China and a dumping duty notice in respect of China, Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

Zed Seselja, the Assistant Minister, Direct, pursuant to subsection as below of the Dumping Duty Act, that the interim countervailing duty (ICD) payable be ascertained as a proportion of the export price of the goods.

For mills from China:

1. Dalian Steelforce, dumping margin is 11%, fixed of combined IDD and ICD is 11%.

2. Huludao, dumping margin is 22%, fixed of combined IDD and ICD is 22%.

3. Tianjin Youfa, dumping margin is 10.2%, subsidy margin is 1.3%, fixed of combined IDD and ICD is 10.4%.

4. Residual exporters, dumping margin is 12.2%, subsidy margin is 1.3%, fixed of combined IDD and ICD is 12.4%.

5. Uncooperative and all other, dumping margin is 77.3%, subsidy margin is 46.7%, fixed of combined IDD and ICD is 121%.
